The board will also hold interviews with proposees following the written proposal deadline. The interview will be about 15 minutes long, but at the beginning you will have 5 minutes to "pitch" your project. This is an opportunity for you to share your vision with us, show us why you are excited, and get us excited too!! It is also an opportunity to add anything that you might not have been able to touch on in the proposal. Feel free to bring in other materials if you feel that they will help your proposal.
Join the Production Team of Fairview!
PW is currently seeking members for the production team of our first mainstage show of the 2023-2024 school year, FAIRVIEW, directed by Navaiya Williams ’25!
Fairview revolves around the upper-middle class, Black American Frasier family, who is gearing up for Grandma’s birthday. Beverly needs this dinner to be perfect— but the silverware’s wrong, the radio’s on the fritz, Jasmine is drinking, Dayton isn’t helping, Keisha is being a teenager, and Tyrone might not show up at all! Fairview is a sitcom-style drama that explores what it feels like to be living under surveillance and examines who gets to control the narrative of their own lives.
FAIRVIEW IS CURRENTLY SEEKING
+ Tech & Build Crew Members
+ Assistant Designers
Performances are set to take place Thursday, October 19th through Sunday, October 22nd, with a total of 4 shows.
Experience is welcome but in no way necessary. If you are interested in any of the above positions or have any questions, please reach out via email to navaiya_williams@brown.edu or PW at production.workshop@gmail.com.
Get Ready for 3c2c 2023!
3c2c is back and better than ever for 2023 !!!!!
What IS 3c2c, hmm??? Historically, it's a short play festival produced by PW. The works in this festival can be about ANYTHING – in past years we've had plays about zombie mobs, dogs who go to space, magical shops in the woods, and more.
The works, however, MUST be produced with three chairs and two cubes (hence, 3c2c) as their main set elements.
And that’s all still true.
BUT !!! (But.) This year, there is…a TWIST.
This year’s 3c2c festival will be composed of DEVISED THEATRE !! (What’s that? Learn more!)
The theme? 3c2c: Chopped.
Full deets are here.
